About the PAC
The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) is located at College of the Canyons, a California community college in the City of Santa Clarita in northern Los Angeles County. The $18.3-million facility opened in 2004 and houses two performance venues: the Main Stage, and the intimate Black Box Theater. Funded by the State of California ($15.9 million) and City of Santa Clarita ($2.4 million), the 47,000-square-foot facility provides instructional, community, and professional entertainment and programs.
Main Stage
The main performance venue features a spectacular 7,500-square-foot proscenium stage, state-of-the-art sound system, orchestra pit, and 886 seats on Orchestra and Balcony levels. Amenities include a green room, scene shops, costume and property storage, makeup/dressing room, lockers, showers, box office and snack bar.
Black Box
This flexible-seating venue is designed for new or experimental productions. Both the Black Box and Main Stage can accommodate concurrent productions. Due to the nature of this venue, the exact number of seats available is often not known until close to opening night. Seating is general admission.
Accessibility
The center was designed to accommodate patrons with accessibility requirements. Accessible seating is available in rows E and P of the Orchestra section. Ushers are available to assist patrons with accessibility requirements to the elevator for access to row E. Transfer seats may also be available, and ushers can store wheelchairs during performances. We recommend that patrons using wheelchairs notify the box office in advance and be accompanied by a companion to provide assistance. Seating for up to three companions is available next to wheelchair or transfer-accessible seats. Depending on availability, seats for additional guests will be located as close as possible to the accessible seat. Patrons requiring additional disability-related accommodations, including sign-language interpreters, should contact the box office at (661) 362-5304 no later than two weeks prior to the performance date. The Black Box Theater also is designed to accommodate patrons with accessibility requirements.
